The Orange Institution identifies itself heavily with the Children of Israel and the journey to, and the taking of, the Promised Land.

Answer - A true Israelite.

Answer - One of the elect.

Answer - From the House of bondage

Question - Whither do you go?

Answer - To the Promised Land.

Question - Why do You wear that.?

Answer - Because I am free.

Question - Free of what?

Answer - Of the wilderness.

Answer - From the land of Moab.

Answer - To the Plains of Jericho.

Identifying with this journey leaves the participant in no doubt that God is on his side and it leaves the participant in no doubt that Ireland - especially Ulster - is the territory God has allocated to them, and it leaves the participant in no doubt about who the Canaanites must be.
